Tandem

Tandem
In a stunning display of Aerial artistry weaved with comedy and physical theatre, Tandem is a fun-for-all-ages show about two sisters who are the same - or maybe not - they are actually very, very different.
See how their differences unravel, and they learn to stay true to themselves while trusting and supporting the other.
Which is no easy task while balanced precariously from one trapeze, 4 metres above the ground!

An incredible display of strength, humour, friendship, fragility and circus!

***** Winner of the WA Circus Award at the debut season at Fringe World 2015.

***** 4.5 Stars - The West Australian

Tandem has performed at Enlighten Festival in Canberra, Toronto Buskerfest in Canada, City of Albany’s New Years Eve festival, Bunbury Show, Tom Price, Monkey Mia, Coogee Live, Fringe World and many many more.

This show is completely self contained, from the Rigging through to the speakers and lighting - and camper trailers so that the artists can tour to remote locations.

It works beautifully outdoors in remote locations, and Community Engagement activities are also available. For example, before the show starts, a local musician can play while young performers (who the artists work with in the days leading up to the performance) rove through the audience with new found circus skills and character.

This not only extends the performance, to make a night of it, but also brings the community together and creates a magical atmosphere.

Testimonial - Australian Stage

"Natural Wings have developed their own magic that moves beyond circus skills and engages us in the intimate dialogue of contemporary dance. The choreography taps into experiences and feelings that lie in the spaces of our shared existence that are without words, beyond words and yet affect us deeply, more than the power of words"
