Adrian Barich

Adrian Barich
An inaugural member of the West Coast Eagles Football Club and regular Channel Seven sports reporter, Adrian Barich is a well known Western Australian identity.

After moving to Perth to study at the University of Western Australia, Adrian enjoyed two seasons with the national rugby league franchise, the Western Reds before transitioning to AFL football. His WA football career spanned 14-years and included 289 games (including the Eagles historic first game in 1987). He is a member of Western Australia’s prestigious 200 Club and was voted Footballer of the Year by the WA Media Guild in 1994.

Making a smooth transition from footballer to sports journalist, Adrian has been a television reporter and presenter for Channel Seven Perth since 1995. Adrian is a lively, funny and entertaining speaker and master of ceremonies. Perfect for corporate, sporting and school events, Adrian can tailor a presentation to suit each client’s specific needs.

Typical keynote themes include:

Leadership, motivation and goal setting - peppered with humourous stories from the world of media and sport.

Reaching the peak – an insider’s perspective on playing with the Eagles. Also includes reference to teammates and opposition personalities such as Glen Jakovich, John Worsfold, Karl Langdon, Gary Ablett Snr, Tony Lockett and Ben Cousins.

Coming unstuck - why the Eagles were so successful in the 90s and mid 00s and how they came unstuck following the 2006 premiership.

In a foreign land – making the transition from NRL to AFL and adapting to change.

Adrian is a lively and entertaining speaker and master of ceremonies and is perfect for corporate, sporting and school events.

Testimonial - Pui San Whittaker, Department of Health WA

"The Mental Health Division was very happy with Adrian's performance in this (MC) role. He has an articulate, clear and friendly speaking manner. He put everyone at ease, including the new Minister for Mental Health in his first major engagement for Mental Health Week. The insights that Adrian shared about supporting people with mental illness were thoughtful and sensitive."

Testimonial - Sarah Garvey, Australian Newsagents’ Federation Lt

"The night went extremely well. Adrian Barich is sensational as always and got us through many a tough spot during the evening. He is the consummate professional and we will be booking Adrian for all our future events through BBC. Thank you so much for all your help and it's been a pleasure working with BBC again so many years later."
