Vocal Evolution

Vocal Evolution
Vocal Evolution is Perth's own Internationally recognised male vocal chorus that has been wowing audiences around Australia since 2002. As well as producing their own very popular live shows they have appeared on the bill at numerous corporate gatherings and on large concert events supporting entertainers such as Jimmy Barnes and David Campbell. They have also appeared on national television on Australia’s Got Talent and have been featured on Today Tonight.

The group has up to 30 male vocalists, singing soaring four-part harmony arrangements of popular songs, old and new, all completely a cappella (without instrumental accompaniment). Not your average stand-and-deliver choir, they add movement and choreography to each song to add visual impact to the vocal feast.

Vocal Evolution's singing credentials are of a high order. In 2009, led by Music Director Alex Morris, the group was awarded the gold medal at the AAMBS National Open Chorus Contest in Hobart, Tasmania. With this title came the invitation to represent Australia at International competition and so in July 2011 the boys headed to the USA. Competing against some of the very best choirs in the world Vocal Evolution achieved an “A-level” score of 81, the highest ever by an Australian group, and a ranking of #19 in the world. Later that year they travelled to Brisbane and claimed their second AAMBS National Open Chorus Championship title.

The chorus released their highly-anticipated debut CD “Like A Song” in 2010 and have followed this up with a recording of yuletide favourites, simply titled "Christmas". They remain busy on the local Perth scene, especially during the Christmas season, so booking early is advised!
