In just 4 short months, Alison lost 55.2 kilos. Turning her life around, her physical presence was not the only thing to change. What blossomed was a person who inspired and motivated people; who connected and encouraged people and who empowered people to believe their thoughts and actions change things.
Previous to her media profile, Alison worked for four years as a Therapy Co-ordinator with residents and families dealing with dementia. In this time Alison saw all aspects of what makes us human, and she brings this deeper perspective to her public appearances.
Alison is an Ambassador for†The HelpME campaign for Lifeline WA. The campaign, to help break down the stigma of mental illness, depression and suicide is a cause close to Alisonís heart, having lost her husband and father of her 3 children, to suicide in late 2008.
Alison is very much about being a positive voice, encouraging people to think and act healthy, backed up and grounded by her varied experiences.
