Formed in 2011, Distant Sun is a 3-Piece cover band from Perth Western Australia Distant Sun has been in high demand for many years, with a strong reputation for ensuring that the “Show Must Go Off”! After thousands of shows all around the State, Distant Sun’s members have been regulars in the Perth pub cover-band scene for over 20 years and will bring an amazing experience to your venue, party or function.
Over a decade of hard work and dedication has brought the band much success, holding numerous residencies at some of Perth’s top venues, notably including a six-year (and current) residency at Oceans 6019 Scarborough, a six-year residency at the Elephant & Wheelbarrow Northbridge, and have covered many miles all around the State for copious functions and special events over the course of the Band’s Life.
The band draws from many genres of music as influences including infectious acoustic, rock, punk, and guitar-driven pop to ensure that all tastes are accounted for. Distant Sun has always focused their attention to capturing the perfect rock n roll sound driven by acoustic guitar, vintage-style guitars and amps, powerful rhythm section and sweet harmonies.
